eduroam eduroam which stands for Education Roaming, is a RADIUS-based infrastructure that uses 802.1X security technology to allow for inter-institutional roaming. The eduroam international roaming system provides automatic network access to other e-U/eduroam Academic networks, both in Turkey and other countries. Check http://www.eduroam.org/ for more information on international institutions. On eduroam enabled networks, it is not required to change any configuration in order to have network access. Users visiting another institution connected to eduroam to log on to the WLAN using the same credentials (username and password) the user would use if he were at his home institution and none user intervention is required (some very few exceptions may happen due to local constraints; in case of difficulty, please try to check locally if any changes apply). Depending on local policies at the visited institutions, eduroam participants may also have additional resources at their disposal. For more information http://www.eduroam.org.tr/eng |
